"The Sentinel" This Great Blue Heron just stood on the log for several hours, like a palace guard watching the beach. It did not seem to pay any attention to me but I had a feeling had I tried to pass I would have had to answer a set of questions! Photographed on Haida Gwaii, BC, Canada.
